Coffee Shop Assistant Manager

KJB Recruitment are working with a client who is looking for a Coffee Shop Assistant Manager, with at least two years previous experience required in working for coffee shops.

As Assistant Manager you will work alongside the Senior Area Manager and support them in the running of one existing and one new outlet opening in the Spring of 2022. You will need to be reliable and supportive to both your manager and the team of staff in the shops. A passion for serving quality drinks and food is a must, alongside exceptional customer service skill. If you have a great attitude, bags of energy, love interacting with customers then this is the job for you.

Assisting the Senior Area Manager in:

  • Running the store to model the management’s vision of how outlet should be and taking on full operational responsibilities of the store in the absence of the manager.
  • Managing the staff by following company policies and procedures and by developing and maintaining a positive work environment.
  • Arranging cover in the absence of staff members and fulfilling the role yourself if necessary.
  • Achieving high standards of presentation and service, striving to ensure customers are served within set time frames.
  • Cash handling including cashing up and producing end-of-day till/PDQ reads as well as managing daily floats.
  • Locking company property, securing takings in accordance with company policy
  • Daily administrative tasks.
  • Providing feedback to the Senior Manager on trading conditions and customer feedback, recruitment trials and training of new team members on the shop floor.
  • Managing the cleaning schedule to keep the store clean and tidy and leading effective deep-cleaning sessions.

Other duties include:

  • Ensuring that the presentation of food and drinks is always of the highest standard.
  • Performing barista duties at an advanced skills level (full training given).
  • Ordering daily stock & providing accurate feedback on daily stock requirements to facilitate accurate stock control.
  • Monitoring the rotation of stock within the bar in a timely and accurate manner and ensuring information is communicated clearly to colleagues to action as necessary.
  • Accurate daily completion of procedure check sheets and records
  • Working some weekends, as 7-day availability is required.

Salary:

£10.50 per hour + Dependent on experience
